I am not sure why you are thanking Susan Ryan-Vollmar. This has been around the net since yesterday. What's special about Susan getting this or is this just another way for you to promote her blog and give her exposure. Keep your social agenda and leanings out of your news-reporting, Dan. You're better than this. I'd hate to see your credibility and objectivity questioned when you infuse tangentional matters into a news item.
I am sure she is a good friend of yours but this ain't no scoop. Even her fellow 'blogger' Andrew Sullivan had this yesterday.
Hey, Anonymous, why are you in such a bad mood? Susan's blog is the first place I saw this. I'm not as well-read as you might think I should be. (Gasp!) So chill out, okay?
Dan, What I think he was complaining about was the fact that the same type of action by a Republican would have been blasted as juvenile rather than whimsical. He obviously hasn't learned that in Massachusetts, "all the animals are equal but some are more equal than others".
Hey, Anon. 1, the last time I checked, Dan Kennedy was a media critic, not a "news reporter," and the name of this log was "Media Notes." The video clip shows a side of the president that most of the media in this country have not presented. We get lots of stuff about the bible study, for instance, but very little of this kind of thing.
The Boston Phoenix's Media Log was launched in 2002 by the paper's then-media columnist, Dan Kennedy, who continued it until he left the paper in 2005. The Phoenix's current media columnist, Adam Reilly, is now the author of Media Log, which has since been renamed Don't Quote Me. Kennedy, an assistant professor of journalism at Northeastern University, blogs at Media Nation.
